Small trip grows into big shopping prize

A RARE trip to a garden centre turned out to be a fruitful one for one lucky shopper after she scooped a prize.
Margaret Pippard, 74, of Wroughton, usually shops at the Co-operative stores in Wroughton or Old Town, but a trip to the garden centre in Stratton saw her win a £50 food voucher from the Co-op store in Hyde Road.
Shoppers were given the chance to win £50 shopping vouchers when they picked up their copy of the Adver in store.
Mrs Pippard filled out the entry form and was surprised when she got the call on Monday to say she had won.
Mrs Pippard said: “I live in Wroughton and I usually use the Co-op in Wroughton or Old Town, but when I go to the garden centre in Stratton I sometimes use that shop.
“I went there because it is convenient when going to the garden centre and there was a promotion on and I just had to put my name and telephone number down.
“I heard I had won on Monday and it was very exciting, especially being just after Christmas it is a nice time to win something like that.
“I haven’t spent the money yet but I think I will spend it on brandy and wine, to treat myself.”
