THE Wiltshire Air Ambulance was called to Swindon yesterday afternoon after a one-year-old boy was scalded by a hot drink.
The boy suffered burns to his hands and arms and was taken by road ambulance to Great Western Hospital shortly after 2pm.
The air ambulance was deployed in the event that the boy needed to go to a specialist burns unit but the decision was taken that he could be cared for at the hospital.
