Where are our blue recycling bins for plastics we were promised in a glossy mailshot from the SBC in Sept 2011

I thought I read last year they were to start collecting tetra cartons & batteries at the roadside, but no further update to my knowledge. + at christmas our recycling round was missed again (I appreciate probably down to sickness) becoming an annual event - when you need the collection most!!!, so the following Monday a team of 10+ turned up in a normal refuse truck and all glass, tins, and paper etc was bundled in together, I am left wondering if that was later sorted or simply sent straight to landfill ? I guess the later.

My tetra packs are being collected as were batteries recently, but when I put out some electrical items over Christmas they were left. I asked SBC and they said that they were only collecting these in Chisledon as part of a trial, despite what they'd earlier published. I seriously doubt they'll get good results from such a small area with such poor communication.
