A MAN accused of pointing an air rifle at a motorist is to face trial.

David Sanders, of Glebe Close, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, but guilty to having a bladed article.

The 24-year-old was released on bail to stand trial on March 27.
