A 47-year-old has been remanded in custody charged with stabbing a young man in Liden.
Stephen Low is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent on Wednesday January 30.
It is alleged that he stabbed 20-year-old Aron Low in the abdomen during an incident in the early evening.
No charges were formally put to the defendant, of Galsworthy Close, and he did not enter a plea during the brief hearing at Swindon crown court.
Recorder Stephen Parish adjourned the case to Friday April 26 and remanded Low in custody until then.
Police were called to an incident in Galsworthy Close at around 6.30pm where they found a man with serious injuries that required immediate hospital treatment.
