STEVE Murrall believes he has acquired an operations team at Swindon Town Football Club already on top of their game.

The club’s new general manager will look after the general infrastructure of the club, liaising with commercial manager Gary Hooper to ensure revenue streams are tapped to their maximum potential at the County Ground.

He feels he is in the perfect place to do so after teaming up with a unit run by operations manager Mark Isaacs which he thinks is second to none.

“Looking at the staff that we’ve got and the facilities and the way they operate, especially on matchdays, it’s fantastic. You couldn’t buy it,” he said.

“It’s about making sure it maintains and improves and that’s my job.

“In my view there is a great bunch of people here, there’s some really good operational aspects here, there’s a really good facility. Can we improve things? We can always improve but it’s not for me really to comment on what could be improved straight away.

“It’s been a long time but then again it’s not been that long. I’m pleased to be able to help the club. We’ve got to make this a club that’s part of the community and not separate to the community.”
