A GIRL who lost her dad to cancer is hoping to be named a beauty queen in memory of him.

Since losing dad Derek in September 2011, Grace Dabner has been passionately doing all she can to raise money for the Prospect Hospice who helped her family.

She has recently taken part in a glider trip, which raised more than £400, and is featured on the hospice Easter Raffle campaign.

Grace, 13, attended a casting in London for the Miss Teen Queen UK crown and is on its website until tomorrow night, where she is looking to get as many votes as she can to go through to the finals.

Grace said: “This is like a dream and I have always wanted to do something like this. I am really excited to have got this far, and would love to win and be a role model for other teenage girls.”

Grace is in heat one. To find out more and to vote for Grace visit the website at www.missteenqueenuk.com
