A NEW name has been created for the Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund.

The name – Brighter Futures – and logo was presented at a board meeting yesterday to be approved to be used on future materials.

The charity within the Trust was set up to enhance the environment for patients and staff, to enable carers and staff to benefit from education and facilities not normally available within the NHS and to donate extra equipment and staffing to the Trust.

The charity name, logo and branding need to reflect the fact that monies raised by the charity will all be invested with the aim of improving patient care.

The previous name was wordy and long, making it difficult to incorporate on to promotional materials, into written documents, to present on the internet.
