James Huynh, owner of the Oriental Aroma
PROSPECT Hospice has thanked the mayor of Royal Wootton Bassett, Mike Leighfield, and James Huynh, owner of the Oriental Aroma, for helping to raise £6,200 through various initiatives over the past few months.
A spokesperson for the hospice said: “These two fantastic fundraisers hosted a charity dinner at the Oriental Aroma at which 115 local people enjoyed a dinner donated by James and entertainment by well-known local jazz musician Frank Abrams.
“Guests raised further funds for us through a raffle, an auction of promises and other initiatives, raising £3,700 on the night.
“James also raised money by opening his restaurant to local schools in February as part of Chinese New Year celebrations. The children were given a two course meal, taught how to use chopsticks and educated on the Chinese New Year, for a donation to Prospect. The scheme raised over £6,000 for Prospect in the process.”
