HOBBYCRAFT Swindon is kicking off the Easter season by asking customers to pick which schools have got a bee in their bonnet.

Schools were challenged to create their own colourful Easter bonnet in an attempt to win one of three Hobbycraft hamper prizes to the total value of £175.

The final entries are on display alongside voting slips at the store, with voting closing on March 22.

Other free Easter activities taking place at Hobbycraft over the school holidays will include a kids’ making table, allowing families to have fun making everything from Easter cards to decorations. It will be open every Saturday and Sunday in March, including Easter weekend, from 11am until 3pm. Families are invited to join in the fun, which will also include free face painting.

Hobbycraft Swindon manager Emma Bartlett said: “It’s great that we can encourage local pupils to get making while also having fun with the bonnet competition. We have had some great entries so we’re looking forward to seeing who wins the hampers.

“It will be nice to welcome families over the school holidays; whether it’s Easter decorations, colouring in or having your face painted, there are so many things to do at the making table we’re looking forward to welcoming lots of kids and giving mum plenty of ideas to keep them amused over the holidays.”
