Man accused of sex charges

A man is accused of five charges under the Sexual Offences Act involving sexual activity with a 13 to 15-year-old girl at Akrotiri, a large Royal Air Force station in Cyprus, between July and December 2009.
Robert McCarthy, 32, of Thornford Drive, Westlea, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Chippenham Magistrates’ Court on Friday. He was released on unconditional bail and sent for trial at Swindon Crown Court on April 5.
