Restaurants serve up charity cash
TWO Old Town restaurants have got involved with Comic Relief’s Menu Relief to help good causes.
Wood Street’s Los Gatos Tapas Bar and its sister restaurant Bistro Les Chats, are supporting the charity, which has a foodie theme with its participation in TV’s Great British Menu.
Shareen Campbell, the co-owner and chef in both establishments, said: “We love our work and we have a laugh, so food and fun go together for us.
“This is a great way to indulge our passion for food while doing something for other people.
“Throughout March, we have been inviting customers to donate £1 on every bill, and have had a 100 per cent positive response.”
On Friday, March 15 both restaurants will be adding red nose dishes to their French and Spanish menus.
Each dish will include a £1 donation. If you choose three the owners will donate £2, bringing the total to £5.
Co owner Phil Saunter said: “We hope more restaurants will sign up.”
