Cancer charity benefits from zumbathon
A ZUMBATHON raised hundreds of pounds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Fitness Instructor Lorna Goodwin organised the event at Wanborough Primary School last month.
A variety of Zumba classes were held throughout the day ranging from Zumba Gold, Zumba, Zumba Toning and Zumba Sentao.
Zumba is a Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party.
Lorna said: “I have been running Zumba classes in and around Swindon for just over two years and wanted to support a national charity by holding a Zumbathon.
“I would like to thank everybody who supported me by coming along to join in some of the classes and all those who helped by buying raffle tickets, donating prizes or giving their time to help sell refreshments on the day.
“It was a wonderful day and it’s amazing to have raised so much money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.”
Lorna runs a variety of classes throughout the week. For more information phone 07582 612778 for details or visit www.lornaszumbaswindon.co.uk.
