A business that provides employment opportunities for disabled people is celebrating landing a major contract with one of the region’s oldest timber companies.

Jez Webb, a partner with HJ Webb and Son, has agreed an ongoing contract with SEQOL Enterprise Works to supply a specifically designed type of garden panel.

Jez, who runs the family-owned business at its Shrivenham headquarters with three other partners, said the company was highly impressed by the quality of work in the panels and has now switched suppliers from a firm in north of England to Enterprise Works.

“It’s all thanks to MP Justin Tomlinson that I got to know about what Enterprise Works can do,” said Jez.

“Justin and I are both involved with Swindon Supermarine FC, and Justin asked if I was aware of Enterprise Works and the high quality of products they sell.

“Justin put us in touch and I was amazed to find that their panels were as good as anything we’ve ever sold.

“They are also delivered by really helpful people, and are very competitively priced.

“I’ve spent the last 25 years selling panels, but I’m very, very impressed with these.”

Mr Tomlinson, the MP for North Swindon, said he was delighted to have been able to make the introduction.

“I went to the opening of Enterprise Works’ new shop last summer with South Swindon MP Robert Buckland, and we are both great supporters of the work that goes on there,” he said.

“I’m thrilled that by being able to put these two in touch I’ve been able to broker a tangible long-term relationship that will provide ongoing opportunities for the fantastic employees at Enterprise Works.”

SEQOL Enterprise Works’ shop and factory is at Unit 1A, Gipsy Lane, Swindon, SN2 8DT.

The shop is open from 7.45am to 4.30pm on Mondays through to Thursdays, and from 7.45am to 4pm on Fridays. It opens between 8.30am and 12.30pm on Saturdays.
