THAMES Water is on the hunt for a new group of apprentices to keep water and wastewater services flowing to and from its 14 million customers.

School leavers are being given the opportunity to join Britain’s biggest water firm putting their practical skills to the test to maintaining sites and equipment in an area that stretches from Gloucestershire to Kent.

Applicants should have five GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C or above including English, science and Maths.

The closing date for applications is the end of April.

Thames Water employs 4,500 people and engineers are responsible for 2,530 pumping stations and 1.2 million manholes.
