THE 104th annual Swindon Music Festival is continuing to showcase the town’s best musical talent.

The event, which is being held at Christ Church and the Arts Centre will come to a close this weekend with a grand concert, including the Senior Vocal Championship and Supreme Championship.

On Thursday, judges heard performances of songs from shows and films, as well as light opera and duets.

And yesterday, girls solo’s and boys folk songs were judged by the panel.

Chairman Geoff Walters said: “Swindon continues to excel in most areas of the arts and we are rightfully proud of the quality of musicians in all styles of music that we are privileged to listen to each year.

“With that in mind, we must give a huge thank you to the many excellent teachers who continue to encourage and develop the amazing musical talent, vocal and instrumental, that we are fortunate to have in this area.”
