A LIFELONG Swindon Town football fan has won the opportunity to feature in a new advert with his footballing heroes. Lance Tucker, who lives near Swindon, starred alongside midfield maestros Tommy Miller and Gary Roberts in a new advert for Marlborough Park, an award-winning local development.
The competition was launched last month by housebuilder Places for People, and the results will be splashed across Swindon next week as the Robins chase promotion to the Championship.
“It’s been such a great experience to be part of the advert and see how it all comes together,” said Lance. “I grew up watching Swindon as a boy and to meet two of their biggest stars is a dream come true. My mates thought I was joking and couldn’t believe it when I told them I’d won.”
Tom Mahood, national aales manager at Places for People said: “We think Marlborough Park is in a league of its own and wanted to give footy fans the chance to become the star and meet their idols.”
Swindon Town Midfielder, Tommy Miller who lives in Marlborough Park said: “It was an enjoyable afternoon chatting about football with Lance.
“ I hope he enjoyed his time at Marlborough Park, which is a fantastic location.”
Three runners-up also won the chance for them and their family and friends to tour the stadium, meet the team and learn all about the history of Swindon Town.
