HOUSING group GreenSquare – which has its head office in west Swindon, and owns and manages hundreds of homes in the town – has celebrated being the first in the country to receive the Quality Assured Scrutiny accreditation.

The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS), and HouseMark developed the framework of standards using their combined expertise and experience and in consultation with a range of tenants and landlords from across the housing sector.

The award was presented to GreenSquare at a ceremony at GreenSquare’s office in Stonehill Green this week. The event was themed as an old-fashioned tea party, complete with vintage china and a cardboard cut-out of Miss Marple.

GreenSquare chairwoman Hilary Gardner said: “Miss Marple did what she did in a quiet and unassuming manner – and challenged and investigated views and decisions.”

Jon Warnock, who presented the award, said: “We’re impressed with GreenSquare’s approach to co-regulation and how they have firmly placed the Resident Scrutiny Panel at the heart of performance management across the entire Group.”
