THE County Ground concerts ticket fiasco is rumbling on for another day as they failed to go on sale again yesterday.

Swindon Town FC general manager Steve Murrell said last week that he expected tickets to go on sale for the two July concerts yesterday, but fans were left frustrated again as Ticketmaster told them that it knew nothing about the concerts.

Many people booked days off work and spent time calling the premium rate number yesterday only to be told that the tickets were not on sale yet.

Harry Kerr, the man responsible for bringing the concerts to the County Ground, has said that they are still awaiting confirmation from some of the artists – but has not given a date for when tickets will go on sale.

This is the second time that tickets were supposed to go on sale and fans have been left wondering what is going on.

Ticketmaster said it had received dozens of calls from people asking about the tickets.

Many readers took to the Adver’s Facebook page to express their frustration, and called on the club to sort it out.

Hayley Baker said: “I’m beginning to wonder if the concerts are gonna be happening.” While Emily Persaud said: “It’s a bit ridiculous really, they should set a date for a couple of weeks time and get everything sorted rather than every couple of days and constantly letting people down.”

People have also been posting on Twitter asking for information and saying that the website that was set up specifically for the concerts has not been working.

Claire Whyte tweeted: “@swindonadver have u heard anything else? This is the second day i have booked off of work to be at home to ring for tickets :(.”

Lisa Smith wrote: “@swindonadver just called ticket master. They have no information!! Shambles yet again.”

Two back-to-back shows were announced through the Adver last week, with the first, on July 26, featuring, Katy B, Wiley, Tulisa, Tinchy Stryder, Ms Dynamite, Luminites, McKnasty, Alexis Jordan and SD*Jem.

The following night there will be a bit of 90s pop nostalgia with Peter Andre, 911, Blue, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X, Honeyz, Five and B*Witched all taking to the stage.

Tickets had initially been scheduled to go on sale last Wednesday, but the launch was delayed and now the club and the promoters have been working to iron out the final details with some of the artists and have not yet confirmed exactly when tickets will go on sale.

Any updates will be posted on the Adver’s website at www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk immediately as well as the Facebook and Twitter pages.
