AN ACCIDENT on the A419 southbound carriageway is causing tailbacks for motorists.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident, which happened between the A4259 Marlborough Road / B4192 Purley Road / Pack Hill (Commonhead interchange) and the junction with the M4, at approximately 2.40pm.
The vehicles involved were a VW Polo and a Mini Cooper. A police spokesman said one of the vehicles appeared to have shunted the other.
The driver of the Mini received minor injuries.
Lane one is currently closed and the tailbacks go past junction 15. Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
