Heading in the right direction

TEENAGE girls will be headed in only One Direction this week as cinemas in the town welcome feature film, This Is Us, to the big screen.
The hotly-anticipated movie, which showcases the story behind global hit British boy band One Direction, has already sold hundreds of tickets to their loyal fans, with more expected to turn up on the night.
Trudy East, the general manager at the Empire on Greenbridge Retail and Leisure Park, said she expected it to be a film which fans would go and see more than once, and although they hadn’t quite sold out they are close.
Trudy said: “The sales are pretty good. We have had similar films before with the Jonas Brothers but it’s a bit different too, it’s more about them and their life.
“I’m fully expecting lots of screaming girls to turn out in the next few weeks.”
Heart-throb superstars Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson give an all-access account of life on the road, charting their story from their humble X Factor beginnings to their famous O2 Arena concert earlier this year.
John Kiel, the manager of Cineworld, at Shaw Ridge, said advanced ticket sales were selling in the hundreds.
He said: “Advanced sales are as expected.
“It’s a solid performance, what it’s going to do at the box office remains to be seen and depends on just how many 12 to 16-year-old girls live in the area.”
The 90-minute film has been produced in 3D and will feature plenty of live concert footage as well as latest hit, Best Song Ever.
The film opens at both Swindon cinemas tomorrow.
