Exam result success for Swindon legal secretary
3:12pm Friday 30th August 2013 in News
Victoria Townsend of Bower and Bailey Solicitors celebrates her exam success.
Victoria has just passed further exams and is now an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives is celebrating fifty years this year. CILEx is the professional association for Chartered Legal Executives, other legal practitioners and paralegals.
Victoria said “The CILEx opportunity of studying whilst working has been extremely valuable to me. I feel that it has enhanced my legal knowledge and I have been able to implement these skills and knowledge on a practical level in my role as legal secretary at Bower & Bailey Solicitors. I particularly enjoyed the fact that I could study whilst gaining practical work experience and “on the job” training and earning a salary. All too often students are restricted from their studies due to lack of funds so CILEx provides a good alternative to being a full time student.”
Simon Smith, Managing Partner of the Swindon office of Bower & Bailey said “As exam results come out this year for both GCSE and A’ Level students it’s important to remember that there are alternative routes to pursuing a career in the law. Victoria has shown that it is possible to combine being a valued member of the property team with her studies with an excellent result. Bower and Bailey are delighted to support Victoria in her studies. We congratulate her on her efforts and on-going success.”
He added “CILEx qualifications can be attractive and appealing to both employers and employees in the current economic climate. Skilled employees are retained within the firm and continue to enhance the working environment whilst earning a salary.”
Once Victoria completes further coursework she will be a Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. Following a further two years of work experience she will be a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
