OLYMPIC star Beth Tweddle provided inspiration for young gymnasts when she opened a club’s new premises at the weekend.
The London 2012 bronze medal-winning gymnast, who was subsequently awarded an MBE, was guest of honour at Hartlepool Gymnastic Club’s new gym on Saturday.
She spent an hour with the club’s elite gymnasts before helping in an official opening ceremony, which featured displays by members.
The club was founded in July 2006 and now has about 200 members of various ages.
