2:34pm Thursday 19th September 2013 in News
THREE men suspected of robbing Deacon and Son Jewellers in Marlborough appeared before magistrates in Chippenham this afternoon.
Marcus Delroy Jeremiah Cohen, 33, of no fixed address; Paul Gallimore, 33, of Rugby Road, Coventry; and Linton Daren Summerfield, 20, of Bushberry Avenue, Coventry, are jointly charged with stealing an estimated £130,000 worth of jewellery, watches and cash in a robbery on Tuesday.
Gallimore is also accused of possessing an offensive weapon, namely a crowbar, at Deacon and Son Jewellers on September 17.
A member of Cohen’s family wept at the back of the court as the three men spoke only to confirm their names.
Prosecutor Pauline Lambert said two other men were still wanted by police for the alleged offence.
Suspects Cohen, Gallimore and Summerfield were sent to Swindon Crown Court on October 11.
None of the men applied for bail and all were remanded in custody.
