Three Phantom stars team up for musical show at the Wyvern
8:30am Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
SWINDON is to be haunted by not one phantom but three when the Wyvern Theatre plays host to three former stars who have donned the famous mask.
Three Phantoms has already performed to well over 30,000 people since 2011 and has been critically-acclaimed by the public and media alike.
Matthew Cammelle, Stephen John Davis and Glyn Kerslake will perform and host an evening that celebrates what has become one of the world’s top entertainment shows, The Phantom of the Opera.
The evening also features songs from other musicals including Les Misérables, West Side Story, Spamalot, Kiss Me Kate, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Rock Of Ages and Wicked, to name but a few.
Musical theatre fans – and especially Phantom ‘Phans’– are in for a real treat as they can expect unique backstage insights and anecdotes from Matthew’s, Stephen’s and Glyn’s time as the Phantom. The trio will also be singing songs from various other adaptations of the story that inspired Andrew Lloyd Webber to write his incredibly evocative score.
The Three Phantoms is said to be such a success due to a commitment to an evening of West End standard, which is why, in addition to the West End talent, the performers will be joined by the accompaniment of Anthony Gabriele, former music director of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre, and cellist Yvonne Marie Parsons.
Three Phantoms runs at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre tonight and tomorrow night. Book online at wyverntheatre. org.uk or 01793 524481.
