Players to try for £1k playing rugby
8:50am Tuesday 29th October 2013 in News
TWO rugby teams will scrum down in November for the winners’ rights of an annual charity match to raise funds for Prospect Hospice.
The Prospect Barbarians, a team put together by the son of a patient who was cared for at the hospice, will play a Nationwide team at the Nationwide Pavilion on Piper’s Way in the sixth staging of the contest on November 17.
The fundraising target for the day is £1,000, which the players hope to achieve through fundraising and sponsorship. There will also be a Guess the Score contest, a barbecue and a cake sale.
The match kicks off at 2pm.
