Delays after M4 crash
12:10pm Tuesday 29th October 2013 in News
AN accident on the M4 caused massive rush-hour tailbacks around the town yesterday afternoon.
A Renault Clio and a German-registered car crashed on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 near junction 15 and the Membury Services.
Police were called at 3.37pm.
The accident was finally cleared at about 5.30pm, affecting the start of rush-hour traffic.
The four people involved in the incident sustained minor injuries.
All three emergency services attended the scene.
The fire service attended because it was thought that one person involved might need to be cut from the car, but this proved to be uneccessary.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash, which took place just hours after another accident between junction 16 and 15 earlier yesterday morning. Witnesses can call police on call 101.
