Mormon minister Andrew takes on larger flock

ANDREW Brown, from the local congregation of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Swindon has been made responsible for the Mormon Church for a wider area reaching from Hereford and Worcester to Yate in the south.
Andrew currently serves as the minister of the Swindon congregation who meet at their chapel in Highworth Road, Stratton St Margaret. Andrew will be relieved from his local congregation responsibility to serve as the leader of this wider area.
Assisting him in his leadership will be Ian Retallick of the Evesham and Aaron Mulligan of the Cheltenham church congregations.
As The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints has no paid ministry, these three men will carry out their ecclesiastical responsibilities for the thousands of Latter-Day Saints in the region, whilse also working full time jobs.
Andrew is a self employed business consultant who spends most of his time working in London.
He has been married to Rachel for 26 years and they have three children aged from eight to 17.
He said: “I am excited and humbled by this call to serve the Lord and the Latter-Day Saints of this region. I am sure that the Lord has great blessings in store for us as we pursue His will.
“As a Presidency we will work to support the nine local congregations in their pursuit of the Lord’s plans.”
