A CORONER has concluded that Christopher Scott of Park South died as a direct result of taking the legal high Alpha-methyltriptamine – AMT.
Chris, 23, of Charfield Close, died on July 24 at the Great Western Hospital.
An inquest held at Salisbury Coroner’s Court today heard how he had met up with friends at the Buckhurst Field skate park one evening in July and had purchased some small green tablets.
He went to his girlfriend’s flat in Sussex Square the following day, but later that evening the emergency services were called after he became seriously unwell. An ambulance crew described him as being in ‘great danger’.
Chris was taken to the GWH where he was put on a life support machine, but sadly passed away.
It is unknown how many of the pills Chris had taken, but toxicology reports show he died as a direct result of the legal high.
