GRANTS are being made available for community groups in Swindon who want to help people lead healthy lifestyles.

A pot of £10,000 is being released to groups across the region by Heart Research UK, who are urging charities and community groups to submit applications before the deadline in two weeks time.

The money is being delivered through a partnership with Subway, and will go to groups who can promote innovative projects to reduce the risk of heart disease.

Barbara Harpham, national director at Heart Research UK, said: “The aim of our partnership with the Subway brand is to encourage people to make good, healthy choices and give practical help.

“This grant will help even more people look after their heart health and lead healthier, happier, longer lives.
