WOULD-BE students had the chance to find out exactly the skills they would need on their new courses at the weekend.
Swindon College held an open day with a difference on Saturday when youngsters were given some practical experience of the coursework on offer.
Course tutors ran have a go sessions including blind buggy driving, nail art, hair styling, wood trades, plastering and bricklaying.
The aim was to give those who were unsure of what they wanted to do next with their life the chance to learn more. There were staff and students from all subjects on hand to talk to about different courses and give advice as well as tours of the campus.
The next open day is on January 22 between 5pm and 7pm.
