COMMUNITY spirit will fill the Central Library during an event in the run-up to Christmas.

The Regent Circus library will be hosting a community seasonal event this Saturday courtesy of Voluntary Action Swindon, where 15 community organisations or groups will showcase themselves.

The event will be staged on the ground floor of the library and will feature a number of stalls and displays, while a young people’s Polish community choir will be singing seasonal songs to help people get into the Christmas spirit.

There will also be a story and song time in the children’s library and youngsters will have the opportunity to learn how to make paper decorations in time for Christmas.

Winter Tales, a mixture of music, prose and poetry will take place in the second floor reading room at 1.45pm, giving people the opportunity to relax from the frantic build-up to Christmas.
