PEOPLE who want to pay tribute to their lost loved ones are invited to remember them on Prospect Hospice’s sponsored Spring walk in the new setting of Buscot Park.

The charity, which brings end-of-life care to patients across north Wiltshire and into south Gloucestershire, has been granted permission to set its annual Walk of Memories in the grounds of the historic home of Lord Faringdon.

The event has become an important feature on the hospice’s annual events calendar, taking participants on a gentle, family-friendly sponsored walk, which this year takes place on March 9.

Prospect Hospice’s events fundraiser Genevieve Arney said the event had become increasingly popular.

“Our hope is that, with the new exclusive venue, there will be an even bigger number of people taking part in 2014.”

Genevieve was pleased Lord Faringdon had permitted the hospice to use the grounds of Buscot Park for the approximate 5km walk so early in the year.

“We asked but were aware the walk takes place at the time of year before the grounds are opened to the public, we were so pleased when Lord Faringdon came back with a positive response. I am confident that people will love the beautiful grounds when normally only the Faringdon family can enjoy them and welcome the opportunity of an early spring walk for a good cause.”
