KEITH Chegwin, who is starring as Silly Billy in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Wyvern Theatre, has been relaxing backstage between shows by playing a game of Swindon Monopoly with the cast.
Keith – much-loved by TV audiences for a host of shows including Cheggers Plays Pop and Extras – has been wowing audiences at the Wyvern for the third year in a row.
Richard Loftus, marketing manager at the Wyvern, which appears on the Monopoly board along with more than 20 other Swindon landmarks, said: “Fun and laughter is at the heart of our pantomime season and this gigantically funny adventure story comes alive on stage with stunning sets and amazing costumes.”
The official Swindon Monopoly board was launched in October and has been a huge success.
Dan Taylor, head of Custom Games at Winning Moves, said: “Sales have been beyond expectation. The board has been flying off shelves.”
Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the Wyvern Theatre until January 5, 2014.
The Swindon edition of Monopoly is available at Smyths, Toys R Us, Waitrose, WH Smith, The Works, Waterstones and at the Wyvern.
