DAME Trot, star of the Wyvern’s Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime was greeted in her dressing room by some of the rugged athletes from Swindon Rugby Club yesterday.

“Swindon Rugby Club’s naked calendar boys were more than happy to fill Dame Trot’s stockings with goodies,” said Swindon Rugby Club chairman Stuart Cock.

“We hope that the calendar will be something she’ll display proudly in her Dressing Room.”

Played by David Ashley, Dame Trot was more than keen to offer her support to the calendar which has been created to raise funds both towards the club’s much needed £100,000 refurbishment and the Great Western Hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit.

“Now I’m free and single and ready to mingle, I thought it would be an ideal time to meet the players from Swindon Rugby Club,” said Dame Gertrude Trot, mother to Jack and Silly Billy.

“Their fabulous calendar will sit pride of place in my cardboard house in the middle of the theatre.”

Jack and the Beanstalk will run at the Wyvern until January 5. Book tickets at http://wyverntheatre.org.uk or call the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481.
