A MAN who is accused of assaulting and threatening to kill his partner has been remanded in custody by a judge.

Benjamin Gough is said to have issued the threat to Amanda Tappin on Wednesday December 4 last year.

And the 31-year-old is also accused of assaulting her by beating during September or October.

No charges were formally put to the defendant, of Park Lane, and he did not enter any pleas during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday March 14 and remanded Gough in custody until then.
