PEOPLE in Swindon are being urged to sign up to the Great Western Hospital’s Three Cities 338-mile cycle.

Challengers will set off from London and head to Amsterdam before travelling to Brussels over four days between August 27 and 31 in aid of the hospital’s charity Brighter Futures.

Jennifer Green, head of fundraising for Brighter Futures said: “New Year is a time when people are making resolutions and often want to challenge themselves to get fitter, so our three cities cycle challenge is a perfect opportunity to do this, and also raise money for a good cause which helps support patient care and services.

“You don't have to be a top cyclist to take part; people may have done cycle challenges before, or it could be the first time they have ever done something like this.

“The challenge is open to anyone and we hope to see as many people as possible signing up. It is a chance for people to increase their fitness, do something different, explore cities you might never have been to, and have fun.”

Riders are asked to pay a registration fee of £99 and raise a minimum of £1,500 in sponsorship.
