Police release Efit of Chiseldon intruder

WILTSHIRE Police is asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in connection with an attempted burglary.

The incident took place on January 15 at a residential property on Hodson Road, Chiseldon, shortly after 2pm.

The homeowner was returning to the inside of the property from the rear garden when he heard a banging noise.

He went into the downstairs bathroom and saw a male attempting to break into the window.

The homeowner opened the window and shouted at the male who then ran off.

The suspect is described as being in his 50s, white, with a slim face which was weather-beaten, dark eyes and wearing a dark woollen type hat.

His general appearance is described as quite unkempt.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
