THE Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust will be unveiling some of its plans for this year at Devizes Town Hall next week. Members of the public are invited to attend and hear about the new Bell 429 helicopter the charity will receive this autumn.
Plans to establish a new purpose-built airbase and visitor centre in the county will also be discussed.
The charity’s chief executive David Philpott said: “We are combining our Annual General Meeting with presentations that we hope will both inform and inspire the people of Wiltshire.
“We will be reflecting on some of the successful lifesaving missions we have flown and also announcing how we are doing in our quest, over three years, to increase income from less than £1 million per annum to £2.5m – the amount we estimate it will cost to keep the service going once we start operating without police funding from January next year.”
The event is at The Assembly Rooms, St John’s Street, Devizes, at 7pm on Wednesday.
Anyone wishing to attend can just turn up.
