LONDON Street’s Lionel Mushonga has been charged with driving a black Vauxhall into the doorstep of a home in Curtis Street.
The incident occurred at around 5am on Saturday morning and although nobody was injured, it did cause structural damage to the exterior wall.
It is suspected that Mushonga, 28, took the car without permission before ploughing it into the property opposite the junction with Crombey Street.
He was also found to be carrying cannabis.
A police spokesman said: “A man has been charged with driving without insurance, without a driving licence, for driving with excess alcohol, for possession of class B drugs and for aggravated vehicle taking.”
Mushonga will appear in Swindon magistrates court on March 12.
