WILKINSON’S head office has donated £1,000 towards an operation which will help Jayden-Vito Mazzotta-Drapper, pictured, walk unaided.
The three-year-old has cerebral palsy, and his family needs to raise £35,000 for a life-changing operation.
The cheque was presented to Jayden’s mother and Wilko team member, Charlene Drapper, in the store in Fleet Street, where she works.
Assistant manager at the store, Frances Young, heard about Charlene’s fundraising efforts and was keen to get behind the cause.
Charlene said: “When Frances told me Wilko agreed to donate £1,000 towards Jayden’s operation I absolutely couldn’t believe it, she went above and beyond.
“The money will go a long way towards helping Jayden walk unaided, which is a sight I’m so excited to see. The whole team at the Swindon store has been by my side the whole way.”
Colleagues are holding a fundraising day at the Kembrey Inn, on Easter Sunday.
