TWO of the eight people rescued by Wiltshire Police were pregnant and are now being supported on the road to recovery.

After 25 officers conducted early morning raids on three separate locations around Swindon yesterday morning, eight Lithuanians, five men and three women, aged between 20 and 25, were rescued.

The people had been housed in rented accommodation around the town, and are now being assisted by Wiltshire Police and the Salvation Army.

Two Lithuanian men, aged 33 and 39, were arrested at their own homes on tha day, and have now been released on police bail pending a court appearance in May.
