TEENAGER Mollie Tuttle has swept the board with seven drama school offers.

Mollie, 18, from Shaw, has won herself a rare amount of places for technical theatre and production courses at the country’s leading drama schools and credits her experiences with Swindon Youth Theatre, Summer Youth Projects and the Arts Award organisation for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

As a challenging field to enter, performance design and production students normally only receive a couple of offers from the top schools.

However Mollie’s experience with Arts Award and her impressive portfolio mean that seven of the top UK performance schools, including Bristol Old Vic, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland have offered her places.

Over 100,000 young people have gained a qualification since its launch in 2005 and Arts Award is viewed favourably by a number of leading institutions with UCAS points attached to the Gold level.

The New College student said: “I’m really surprised and grateful to have so many amazing offers.

"I have some exciting but very tough choices to make."

“I was originally going to study chemistry but my experience and work with Swindon Youth Theatre, various inspirational projects and Arts Award have helped me feel confident about the fact that there are jobs in this field and now I just want to get there.”
