YOUNGSTER Kirsty Walsh has spent two months sleeping in the lounge because the district council has failed to fix her bedroom window.
The five-year-old has moved beds because she cannot shut her window, which needs to be replaced.
Her parents Glynn and Ellen Walsh say the family moved into the three bedroom council house, in Ring Road, Flackwell Heath, at the beginning of August but have waited weeks for the house to become 'liveable'.
Glynn said: "Me, my baby daughter and wife have all been sleeping in the living room because the house just was not liveable.
"It is a shambles."
He said the council said they could not move in until 10,000 was spent on refurbishments. But he claims most of the windows were broken and not secure and it was generally a 'complete mess' when they moved in.
He said: "They've done some of the work but it's taken eight weeks and my daughter still has to sleep in the lounge. It's a joke."
A Wycombe District Council spokesman said it was in the final stages of repairs but contractor's access to the house was limited at the tenants' request. They hoped to find a mutually agreeable time.
