WILTSHIRE Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Swindon.

The incident took place at approximately 3.15pm on March 17 outside the Co-op store on Beechcroft Road.

A 73-year-old man was verbally and physically assaulted by an unknown male.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 40s or 50s, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, of stocky build with short cropped hair.

A CCTV still of a man police would like to speak to in connection to this incident has been released.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
