WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of cars were damaged in Swindon.

Approximately 10 cars were vandalised in and around the Graham Street area of Broadgreen in the early hours of Saturday, May 3.

Wing mirrors were damaged as well as cars being scratched and vandalised.

Broadgreen Community Beat Manager PC Luke Atkinson said: “These appear to be mindless, random acts of criminal damage mainly centered around the Graham Street area of Broadgreen.

"Numerous vehicles have had wing mirrors kicked off as well as other damage caused to them.

"If you witnessed anything between the hours of midnight on Friday and 7am on Saturday which could be linked to these incidents no matter how insignificant, then please contact Wiltshire Police using 101 and ask for the Swindon Town Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team.

"Alternatively, information can be left anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

And if the police succeed in apprehending the criminals, what then?

We've already seen this week a pair of knife-wielding robbers walk away from their crime with nothing more than a stern telling-off in the courts. And a vicious, violent, drink- and drug-addled thug already on a suspended sentence for a violent assault allowed to walk free after committing yet another one, the judge presumably believing Rob Ross and his description of this serial offender as 'intelligent and likeable'.

Completely agree with the above there is zero deterrent to stop this.
Wasnt it about this time last year that all those cars were attacked in old town?

Mr Ross does certainly seem to be busy these days.

Criminal, mindless behaviour. PLEASE somebody shop them if you know who they are!!! They deserve to be punished for damaging cars of people who have worked hard to buy them.

They will find the people who did it - in fact, they probably already know who did it - and, as ever, they will then get away with it as the police claim there's 'not enough evidence'.

The reason we keep seeing this kind of violent criminal damage is because the people who commit it continually have it reinforced that they will get away with it.

There will be precisely zero justice unless vehicle owners protect their property wherever possible.

How is the judiciary getting away with this utter ****?

Violent, repeat offenders using KNIVES to rob young children and still they are let off completely. What is the point of laws? More importantly, what is the point of paying judges £200,000 per year? Anyone can sit there and say, "The law says I must send you to prison... but I'm so learned and enlightened that I won't"

I wonder if it'll be the judge's offspring that the pair mentioned above mug at knifepoint next time they do it (ie, within a month or two).

Its a good think you are here to protect us all captain.
"zero justice unless owners protect their property" well if they are protected there wouldnt be a crime to have justice served.
You are funny maybe take a moment to consider your thoughts before typing?

And you would be well advised to take a moment to read things properly before frothing at the mouth and posting your incoherent ramblings.

Although, it's clear that - even if you did read things properly - you'd be unlikely to fully comprehend them.

And again just spouting nonsense another comment on another story where you avoid going anywhere near either explaining yourself or providing a solution.
You are a finger pointer, a sign, I dont think saying you are a tool is going to far and utterly useless,,,unless someone to constantly point out the obvious is required but I dont think so.
