UTC Swindon will be giving students and parents the opportunity to discover what the engineering college has to offer during two presentations being held next Saturday.

The open day is being hosted at St Marks Church, Church Place, where you can join one of two presentations at 11am or noon.

The open day is free. An explanation of the curriculum will be provided by Principal Angela Barker-Dench and there will be a presentation describing the specialist engineering education, the types of engineering careers available and how to apply for places.

Angela said, “We want to make ourselves as available as possible to parents and students, so it was obvious that we needed to hold an informative open day on a weekend. We welcome all those who are thinking about applying and those who have been accepted to find out more about this exceptional education.”

UTC Swindon will be run by a Trust sponsored by Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells and Oxford Brookes University. There are over 60 different industry partners involved with the University Technical College.

UTC Swindon will be opening its doors in September.
