A PENSIONER accused of falsely claiming benefits has been released on bail by a judge.
Robert Bourne, 66, of Ash Close, Lyneham, is said to have claimed over a period of almost five years while he was working and had £10,000 in capital.
He faces two counts of failing to disclose information to get gain.
It is alleged he obtained benefits from the Department of Work and Pensions and Wiltshire Council between September 2008 and last August.
No charges were formally put to him and he did not enter any pleas at Swindon Crown Court.
The case was adjourned to May 29.
