TWO men who were involved in the trade in cannabis last year have been told to expect jail terms.

Samuel Thiel, 26, and George Durbin, 27, were given the warning after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply the drug.

The pair admitted their role in the drugs trade between Thursday, January 10, and Friday, March 15, last year when they appeared at Swindon Crown Court.

But they will not be sentenced until after the trial of a third man, 33-year-old Ricardo Benjamin, who denied the allegation.

He also pleaded not guilty to the simple possession of heroin and cocaine on Thursday, March 14.

Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case against Benjamin, of Corporation Street, to a trial date to be fixed and released him on bail.

He ordered pre-sentence reports on Thiel of Kitchener Street, Gorse Hill, and Durbin of Gable Close, Abbey Meads, on granted them bail until after the trial.

But he told them: “You have pleaded guilty to a serious offence here which inevitably, I think, will result in a prison sentence for the two of you.”
