A CHARITY worker who sold crack cocaine to an undercover police officer in Swindon town centre has been jailed for 20 months.

Thane Pilgrim, who is known as Fudge, also supplied the officer with heroin.

The 36-year-old, who has a history of crime including serious robberies, had worked on Oxfam’s music festival Oxjam, a judge was told.

Colin Meeke, prosecuting, said on Wednesday, November 25 last year the officer got talking to two men in Fleming Way and made it known he was trying to get some crack.

“The police officer handed over his cash. One of the other two went to see Fudge and that was then supplied to the undercover officer,” Mr Meeke said. Pilgrim, who gave an address in Reading, pleaded guilty to three charges of supplying class A drugs.

Rob Ross, defending, said his client had been out of trouble since receiving a lengthy jail term for robbery.
